The 60th Feria de Pentecôte of Nîmes beginned with a Pegoulade parade, and this year the theme was history. Which again explains the egyptians and the crocodiles: the ancient roman soldiers who had served at the Egyptian war, were granted a piece of land in Colonia Augusta Nemausa, today known as Nîmes.
