The little lily of the valley vendor

muguet de maiIn France, the flower of May 1st is lily of the valley, known as muguet du 1er mai. It is believed to bring luck, and branches or small bouquets of the fragrant flower are given to your loved ones. A tradition, that dates back to the middle ages!

Basically anyone can sell them on this day, and street vendors with different kinds of lily of the valley bouquets are everywhere. I spotted this super cute little girl helping her mother at the main street of Nîmes. It seems to have been a busy day, the table is almost empty!
