Eat, drink, sing

fetedelamusiqueIn France, the summer solistice has been celebrated with a nation wide music festival, La Fête de la Musique, since 1982. The festival invites anyone to perform in the streets and squares – and people really do! It’s a great and very casual festival, and you can either check what’s on and see your favourite concerts, or just stroll around and follow the sounds. I like to combine the two.

Lunch at Le Bouchon Nîmois

le bouchon nimois

A quick lunch at Le Bouchon Nîmois, a quite new and cozy bouchon type of restaurant near to Les Halles. My salad with lardons, tête de veau, eggs, mushrooms and sausages (forgotten from the plate but served separately when asked) was quite generous, whereas the days suggestion of gambas was good but a little small as a main dish. Well, we shared, and enjoyed the bread and cheese as a dessert.
