Soon again it’s feria time…

The Feria des Vendanges, or Harvest Feria, will be held from September 13th to 16th. It’s a much lower key event than the one in spring, but neverthless an event not to miss. Corrida’s, abrivado’s, les bandas, festive atmosphere, all the spectacular shows… What it’ll be exactly, I don’t yet know, the program will be published later. (Nope, it is published, you can find it here!) Anyway, this is the poster of the 60th Feria of Nîmes (for both spring and autumn) – and if you look closely, you will find two different sizes of holes on this bilboard; they are for recycling your old batteries! Handy, isn’t it?

(The street behind is Boulevard Amiral Courbet, which is one part of the boulevard ring running around the old center. The reason for the boulevard ring is simple: in medieval time there used to be a wall protecting the city, which was later demolished, and a boulevard was made in its place.)
